Samja’s story

Samja Schroeder is a freelance fashion stylist with a background in tailoring, a German degree in fashion design and fashion magazine editorial experience in Milan. Back in Germany, 1992 Berlin was the center of the national music movement and Samja worked for several years as a stylist for countless music videos for MTV. She lived in Berlin for 25 years and has worked in locations all over the world, mainly with Italian and German fashion clients as a stylist for catalogues, campaigns, lookbooks and shows.
She moved to Bologna, Italy in 2013 and continued working as a stylist. Whether on set, location or in her studio, she always needed to have her phone with her, but she had to have her hands free at the same time. She did a lot of research but couldn’t find anything like a phone holder on a cord.

So in 2014 she designed and made the world’s first phone necklace for herself using braided cotton strings, leather cord and steel chain  inspired by Isabel Marant.
Colleagues and clients in the fashion world soon noticed her necklace, as not only was it a practical accessory but also a sophisticated fashion statement. Wherever she went, people would ask her to make one for them. This instant demand for her product made her realize that her idea was something very special, and soon more creations followed.

Today blueANDtrue produces many different nicely crafted accessories for different needs.
The range of styles, materials and colors continues to grow thanks to Samja’s    inspiring and exciting global experiences in fashion. https://www.samjaschroeder.com
