Founded in 2014 by international fashion stylist Samja Schroeder, blueANDtrue emerged from a simple yet powerful idea. Samja, originally from Berlin and now living and working in Bologna, Italy, had traveled the world styling for top Italian and German fashion clients. Whether working on catalogues, campaigns, lookbooks, or shows, she constantly needed her cellphone close at hand while keeping her hands free—a combination she couldn’t find on the market. So, she decided to create it herself.
The Birth of a Practical and Stylish Solution
After extensive research, Samja designed a solution that was both practical and stylish. The result was blueANDtrue, a long necklace made from various materials and styles, attached to a shockproof silicone phone cover. The design allows for easy access to your phone, whether for reading emails, texting, or taking photos, and also lets you simply drop it when you no longer need it—without worrying about damage to the phone.

At blueANDtrue, every product is meticulously handcrafted in our Bologna-based laboratory. From tie-dyeing to hand embroidery, each piece reflects the artistry and care that goes into its creation. With 28 unique styles, each phone necklace is inspired by a designer, a special place, or an artist, combining aesthetics with high functionality.
